Introduction

My name is Miss Byrne. I am originally from Shepherdstown, WV where I grew up with my parents and four wonderful siblings (three sisters and a brother). When I was young, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I spent a lot of time outside exploring the woods by my house. I have been a 4-Her since age 9 and continue to work at 4-H camps during the summer.

I currently live in Morgantown, WV where I attend West Virginia University. I study Secondary English Education and work as a tutor in the universityWriting Center. I love to talk to people about writing and books and cool ideas.

At University High School, I work with Mrs. McCormick, my gracious host teacher, as a preservice teacher. We have had a lot of snow days this semester, so I am really excited to start this cross-cultural project because I'll get to know my students better while I meet new students in Germany. I hope all my students share that sense of excitement.
