I also played a game with my family called "Spears." We would get these plant stems from the river that grew to be 3 feet long and then dried out. We played in two teams, and everyone got 5 spears. The object of the game was to touch the other team's base without getting hit by a spear. If you were hit with a spear, then you were out of the game until the next round. I'm pretty sure that my Dad thought up the rules to this game and taught it to us.

Childhood Games
When I was little, I used to play a lot of games with my friends at school and with my family. My friends and I played a lot of tag. We played "TV (like Television) Tag" and "Freeze Tag" mostly. For TV Tag, one person is it, and if you get tagged by that person, you have to say a name of a TV show to be untagged. Freeze tag is really similar. If you get tagged, you are frozen until another person (who is still free) comes to untag you. I don't remember exactly who taught me these games, but I think it was other kids my age.
